At the start of each year, Veganuary encourages people to try vegan living for the month of January. Since its launch 10 years ago it’s proved a popular challenge with more than 620,000 people signing up last year. Whether you’re looking to make a switch to a plant-based diet or simply trying to eat more vegetables, we’ve got plenty of fresh culinary ideas to inspire you. Willows Restaurant and The Riverside Café

Our menus offer a choice of vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free dishes for the whole family to enjoy. Plant-based lunch options at Riverside Café include a homemade Courgette, Mushroom, Tomato and Pea Pie. For vegetarian diners there is a Roasted Vegetable and Goats Cheese Tart or Potato, Lancashire Cheese and Onion Pie. You can enjoy a full vegetarian or vegan afternoon tea at Willows Restaurant complete with freshly made cakes, scones, sandwiches and soup. On Sunday, don’t miss our Nut Loaf Roast with all the trimmings!

The Cook Shop

Find inspiration for vegan and vegetarian recipes from all corners of the globe in The Cook Shop. We’ve curated a collection of new and classic cookbooks that put plants at the heart of the meal. Titles include Happy Vegan Comfort Food, 15 Minute Vegan on a Budget and Simply Vegetables. There are literally hundreds of recipes to choose from to help you create delicious vegetarian and vegan meals at home. Eating your veggies has never tasted this good!

The Farm Shop

Our own brand of Barton Grange ready meal range features a selection of delicious vegan and vegetarian options. Made by our chefs using the finest quality ingredients, this frozen selection of meals includes Parsnip, Mushroom, Chickpea and Cashew Nut Loaf, Cheese and Lentil Croquettes and Vegetable Curry. There is also a choice of seasonal vegetarian soups, meat-free pies and Honeywell’s vegan sausage rolls.

Find a great selection of vegan and vegetarian recipes on our website. We like to showcase the best recipes using fresh, seasonal and local produce. Vegan recipes to try include Thai Coconut Soup, Sweet Potato and Cauliflower Stew and Tofu Green Curry. There’s also a number of vegetarian options including Creamy Pumpkin Soup, Jersey Royal Hash and Cherry Berry Crumble. The recipes are updated every month so there’s always something new to discover!
