Christmas Calligraphy Workshop with Mellor and Rose
Event Date: Sunday 3rd December 2023 | 11am – 1:30pm | £69pp
Join Mellor & Rose on their Christmas-themed dip pen calligraphy workshop. By the end of the class, you will be well on your way to lettering up your very own gift tags, Christmas cards and envelopes, along with some festive wall art quotes for your home (or to give as a gift!) The workshop is guided by two expert tutors and includes a full starter kit that you can take home.

Candle Making Workshop with Refill My Candles

Lancashire County Council - FOSTER WITH US

On Friday 8th December, foster carers and social workers from Lancashire County Council will be in the Green Room at Barton Grange. They will be available to chat to anyone interested in fostering or adoption, answer questions and put forward enquiries. Children’s games and colouring will be available.

Wild Workshops: Critter Time Garden Special with Steven Wild

Lancashire Hawks & Owls

Lancashire Hawks and Owls is a private organisation that rescues and looks after birds of prey which cannot be returned to the wild.
The team from Lancashire Hawks and Owls are coming to Barton Grange Garden Centre this month. At this event you’ll have a chance to meet both the people and the birds they rescue! All the birds of prey in the display are hand reared and totally approachable which means you can touch them and have your photo taken with them for a charge of £2 (cash only). Come along for a fascinating look at these wonderful creatures.

Accrington Bonsai Society

The club are happy to be returning to Barton Grange for the 1st time since 2019. The club will be running a public vote for the best tree in show for the inaugural ‘Pauline Smith Memorial’ trophy. Come along and have a chat to the club members and a demonstration will be held at 1pm.

Festive Felting Fun Workshop with Chrissy Webster

Enjoy creating colourful fabric art with wool! Explore richly textured fabric through the medium of merino wool, trims and embellishments! Work with felting needles to create design and add fine detail with a sewing needle. Create a variety of shapes to hang during the festive season. All tools and materials are included in this class.

Best Destination Garden Centre in the UK

Barton Grange Garden Centre has done it once again! At a virtual awards presentation held on 15th February 2022, Barton Grange Garden Centre was announced as the winner of the ‘Destination Garden Centre of the Year’ award. This title presented by the Garden Centre Association (GCA) names Barton Grange as the best large garden centre within the UK.
£7000 Donated to Local Charities

The Barton Grange Group pledged a donation of £2 from every ticket sold in its Santa’s Christmas Journey event. Each child chose the good cause they would like to support during their trip, with totals totted up this January and awarded to the charities in a presentation at The Flower Bowl Entertainment Centre.
