A GUIDE FOR OUR CUSTOMERS WITH DISABILITIES OR MOBILITY PROBLEMS
When we built the Garden Centre we wanted to ensure that everyone could make the most of everything it has to offer. Here you can find out all about disabled access and facilities for customers with disabilities and/or mobility problems.
Once inside the Garden Centre, you’ll find disabled toilet facilities in the main entrance and further disabled toilets in the restaurant area.
With the exception of one small part of decking outside the Café, the Garden Centre has no steps, so customers in wheelchairs and with pushchairs can visit all areas with ease. We created wide aisles throughout all departments to assist movement though the Centre.
And, of course, our outdoor plant area is fully covered so you can shop for plants whatever the weather.
A NOTE ABOUT DOGS
Please note that dogs are not allowed into the Garden Centre, with the exception of Guide Dogs and Assistance Dogs. Thank you.
There's no need to struggle with heavy items. We can find someone to help lift these into your trolley and, after purchase, out to your car. Please just ask.
WHEELCHAIRS AND MOBILITY SCOOTERS
If you’d like to borrow a wheelchair during your visit, we have plenty available at the customer service desk in our main reception – so please ask on arrival at the Garden Centre.
We also have a couple of mobility scooters, for use by customers. There are a few details we will need from you when hiring a scooter so please ensure you bring along one of the following:
Your driver’s licence;
OR your bus pass;
OR your Blue Badge;
OR a letter with your home address on it and a card with your signature on.
Our mobility scooters are supplied very kindly by the Mobility Smart Centre in Garstang. Please click on the logo below to visit their website.
