Garden Centre Plants, Barton Lane, Barton, Preston PR3 5AU, is the wholesale division of The Barton Grange Group LTD.  

Supplying a wide range of plants to Garden Centres and major retailers nationwide from our 35-acre site comprising both indoor and outdoor growing areas. This is a full time position working 39 hours per week Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

     .  Accurately recording the stock levels of our plants on site.

     .  Updating our computer system as to the saleability of stock.

     .  Pre-grading to ensure maximum quality is achieved.

     .  Monitoring quality standards of stock being picked.

     .  Working with plant selection team.

     . Work closely with the Dispatch manager to ensure the correct level of quality is achieved.

     . Produce stocklists for our salespeople to use externally.

Skills and Experience:

      .  Some plant/product knowledge.

      . Good communication skills to all levels of the sales/supply team.

      . Attention to detail needed to give great customer service.

      .  The ability to work both individually and as part of a team.

      . Reasonable I.T. experience and skills.

      . Someone with some retail plant area experience may have an advantage.
