Christmas charity bells initiative

Kind-hearted customers at Barton Grange Garden Centre have raised more than £2000 for Trinity Hospice and Brian House Hospice following a festive fundraising initiative.

In the run up to Christmas, special charity bells and soft toys were on sale. For every charity bell sold, £2 was donated to Trinity Hospice, and for each soft toy £2 went to Brian House. A total of £1502 was raised for Trinity Hospice and £698 for Brian House Children’s Hospice.  Barton Grange’s Head of Display David Fawcett-Ropner handed over the cheques to Rebecca Moon from Trinity Hospice.

David says: “We’d like to say a huge thank you to our wonderful customers for their ongoing support for our festive fundraising efforts. It’s an honour to hand over these cheques to Trinity Hospice. The incredible work they do touches so many local families, including members of our team here at Barton Grange.”

Trinity Hospice has provided compassionate end of life care on the Fylde Coast for 40 years, helping around 8,000 people each year which are provided completely free of charge to everyone who needs them.

Brian House, which forms part of Trinity Hospice, is the only specialist children’s hospice for the Fylde Coast, offering unique, expert care and support to the most seriously ill and vulnerable children in the community.

Rebecca Moon, Corporate Fundraiser at Trinity and Brian House said: “We are incredibly grateful to Barton Grange and its generous customers for choosing to support local hospice care in the run up to Christmas.

“We just love the bells and soft toys, and they will make such a difference to the local families who need us, from our specialist care to the wonderful moments that our teams create; moments that will last a life time for the loved ones we are supporting.

“A huge thank you to Barton Grange for supporting Trinity and Brian House, and to everyone who took the time to buy a gorgeous decoration and help us to care.”
