Flour (for dusting)
1 tbsp Oil
The Bay Tree Slow Bourguignon Cooking Sauce
Ingredients for this recipe are available in our Farm Shop.
Lightly dust the stewing beef in flour.
Fry the stewing beef in oil until sealed.
Place in a 3 – 4 litre slow cooker with 150ml of water and the pouch of Bourguignon Sauce.
Cook on high for 3 – 4 hours or low for 5 – 6 hours, stirring occasionally.
Ensure the meat is cooked through and serve with creamy mashed potatoes and green beans.
Make it extra special by frying smoked bacon lardons and button mushrooms in 1 tbsp of oil until browned and add at the beginning. Sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.
