Local Suppliers

At Barton Grange, wherever possible, we buy from carefully selected local suppliers to bring you the finest fresh food available in Lancashire.

We believe in the wonderful food heritage of our nearby rural communities and many of our suppliers have their premises or farms within 20 miles of our Farm Shop. We enjoy getting to know the local personalities behind the produce we sell. They run their family businesses with pride and passion, founded on years of expertise and knowledge.

Val and her family at Williams bakery, in Preston, have been baking traditional biscuits and cakes for over 40 years. Our customers love their delicious bakes, including the mouth-watering Eccles Cakes shown here, fresh from the oven.

The popular Cuckoo Gin is made in the Singleton family’s distillery that was once a cow shed on their Brindle based farm! Using spring water from their field and natural ingredients they have grown or locally sourced, their award-winning range is a must have for any gin lover!

The Fiddler family produce their Lancashire Crisps in Ormskirk using potatoes grown on their farm, hand cooked in their kitchens and full of the traditional flavours of the county! From Black Pudding and English Mustard to Lancashire Cheese and Onion, there really is a flavour for every Lancashire lad or lass!

Shirley Roberts makes her delicious pies by hand at her own bakery in Pilling, just 13 miles away. She uses local ingredients whenever possible, including potatoes grown in the fields surrounding the bakery.

The Sandham family began producing their glorious cheese over ninety years ago in the heart of rural Lancashire, only two miles away in Barton! Chris Sandham and his team source their milk from within a 15 mile radius of the dairy to produce the finest local cheeses.
