It is Parkinson’s Awareness week from 8th – 14th April and the ‘Parkinson’s UK – Preston & District Branch’, will be with us on Sunday 7th April providing lots of information and advice.
The Preston Branch will have a range of activities including talks, a second hand book stall, a jewellery stall, a tombola, complimentary sweets, colouring in and games for children. You will also be able find out about the help and support the charity offers to people who suffer from the disease and their families.
This year we will have one of our exercise instructors talking about the importance of exercise in coping with the effects of the disease. Her talk will conclude with a short session to music which you can watch or, better still, join in. It is mainly seated and fun. These will be at 11-30am & 1-30pm.
This is a free event in the Green Room but the charity are providing lots of fun activities, to raise money for the ‘Parkinson’s UK- Preston Branch’, so donations will be welcomed.
