Garden Centre Plants is the wholesale trading division of The Barton Grange Group of companies, growing and supplying outdoor plants to Garden Centres throughout the UK, based at our 30 acre Production Site at Jepps Lane, Barton PR3 5AU.
After twenty years’ service our Account’s Manager is due to retire in late 2019. Therefore we are seeking a suitable person to work in tandem for the next few months to ensure a smooth handover.
Applications are invited from suitable candidates qualified to a minimum of AAT Level 2 standard, or through experience.
Suitable candidates must have a flexible and adaptable attitude to working as part of a small office team comprising of Accounts, Computer and Sales teams.
Purpose: Maintain Sales / Purchase / Nominal Ledgers & Accountancy and Management reporting.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Produce Annual Financial accounts.
- Produce Monthly Management accounts.
- Prepare Annual Budgets.
- Prepare Annual Plant costing’s.
- Produce day to day management information.
Maintain / Control Purchase Ledger
- Check / Code / Post purchase invoices.
- Reconcile supplier statements.
- Make payments both sterling and euro.
Maintain / Control Sales Ledger
- Post / allocate cash received.
- Produce statements.
Maintain / Entry Cash Books
- Daily banking.
- Post to Ledgers.
- Produce bank reconciliation.
Control Petty Cash Book
Prepare / Post Nominal Journals.

PAY & BENEFITS:
Salary circa £27,000 per annum
