Our Bolton Garden Centre was built on the site of an old colliery and opened in May 1990. Easy to find, just off the M61 at junction 5, the Centre has its own very popular restaurant, the Colliers Kitchen, and a unique character which brings customers back time and time again.
People are made to feel special at Bolton our staff are constantly being complimented on their helpfulness, cheerful attitude and immense knowledge of plants and gardening. Nothing is too much trouble.
The outdoor plantarea at Bolton is a sight to behold. Its tiered layers, all fully accessible, offer breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside as well as the masses of plants on offer. With its own waterfall, and a huge fountain as a centrepiece, it really is something special. There is also a large heated undercover area, which offers all-weather shopping and is nearly always a mass of colour.
The garden shop has everything you need to keep your garden looking lovely from lawn feed and loppers to the latest range of lighting and garden furniture. The bright and airy planthouse and giftshop is packed full of ideas for brightening up your home or buying a gift for someone special.

The air-conditioned Colliers Kitchen restaurant has been designed to reflect the history of the site where the Victoria Colliery used to be. Old photographs of the former colliery adorn the walls and a manual winding wheel forms an impressive centrepiece. A tempting selection of homemade daily specials, light snacks, cakes and desserts are always available in the restaurant.
