Barton Grange Garden Centre at Brock has once again won the award for the Best Christmas Displays in the UK. This is the third year running that Barton Grange has won the award – twice at Brock and before that at Barton.
Competing against the leading garden centres nationwide, Barton Grange has again been judged the best by the Garden Centre Association.
Barton Grange was praised for the creativity and originality of the Christmas displays and for their co-ordinated approach to Christmas throughout the Garden Centre.
‘Everyone in the Christmas team, and throughout the Centre, has done a brilliant job and I am so delighted that they’ve won this award,” says Guy Topping, MD of Barton Grange Garden Centres. “We had a lot to live up to after winning last year and all the hard work and effort has really paid off.
“All our customers have been very supportive as usual and given us some excellent feedback for which we are extremely grateful.”
The theme for Christmas this year at Barton Grange is ‘A World of Christmas’ and the displays are designed to represent different continents, countries and cities of the world including Africa, Thailand, India, Venice and the UK.
A Venetian gondola complete with gondolier, the statue of liberty, African elephants, Antarctic penguins and Indian tigers all feature in the incredible displays alongside the more traditional nativity scenes, snowmen, red robins and Father Christmas.
One of the most popular attractions is a mountain landscape, complete with rivers and waterfalls, created by Barton Grange to show off their village collection. The snow capped mountains hold hundreds of miniature buildings and figures including moving fairground rides, ski lifts, a zoo and a working railway.
