Take a seat, next to ‘Mr T’

A life-size sculpture of Barton Grange Chairman Eddie Topping has been unveiled. The statue of 'Mr T' as he is affectionately known by many Barton Grange employees, is attached to its very own bench at the front of the Garden Centre.

Local sculptor, Peter Hodgkinson, was commissioned by Eddie’s three sons, Peter, Ian and Guy Topping, to create the life size model of their dad, in recognition of his lifetime's achievements.

The three made a surprise presentation of the bench to Eddie at a recent staff event but it has now been installed at the front of the Garden Centre, where customers will be able to sit alongside the man who started it all.
